"Angus, King of the Mountain" Was built in Bethel Maine
in 1999, he has held the record as worlds tallest
snowman since 1999. He was named for Angus King, who
was the governor of Maine at the time.
"Olympia Snow" the world's tallest snow woman, was
named to commemorate Maine’s senior Senator,
Olympia Snowe. She was completed and dedicated on
Feb. 29, 2008. A towering 122’1” tall, weighed
13,000,000 lbs., she had 16 skis for eyelashes, 3
skidder tires for buttons, a gorgeous Maine mica
pendant and 30 ft. spruce trees for arms.
